Help us find Winnipeg’s Best Burger!

Comment here if you have a restaurant suggestion for Winnipeg’s Best Burger. The Burger Club isn’t looking for a “good” burger, a “novelty” burger, or some hippy “meatless” burger, - we’re looking for Winnipeg’s very *best* beef burger! We’re going to start with this fairly well established Top 10 of Winnipeg Burgers, but we’re prepared to eat burgers all year if we have to in our quest for the best!

    Blondies has to be on the list for sheer size.

    North Star on McGregor is a new player worth considering.

    what about the place on Notre Dame near Keewatin? New York Burger. they are pretty good...tho i am a VJs fan. nothing like that sauce i am tellin ya.

    Thanks Anony-mous and lizzy la la. VJ’s and Blondies are definitely on the list! Didn’t know about North Star – I’ll add it and New York Burger to the list of contenders.

    A friend of a friend just commented on Facebook that Original Joe's (Grant at Kenaston) has the Best "real" burgers in town.

    I know I really liked my not quite so traditional burger there. I believe Earls has a really great not chili burger. We might have to do that just to keep the women happy (there were chili complaints)

    I have heard that Johnnie's (I think - it is literally directly across from Dairy Wip) is great.

    Also I recently heard of Burgers Plus on Sargent (538 IIRC), it apparently has the a great and incredibly cheap burger...

    Unquestionably, you should put Five Guys on the list. They aren't here just yet, but they are coming in a couple of months.

    Their burgers will blow away ANYTHING Winnipeg currently offers. Give them a try...

      theres a new place opend up on main called the burger bar and they have one in river bend too called burger bend both owned by the same guys they have really good burgers a must try i love taking my kids there

      The burger bar and burger bend are awsome! you gotta try the taco fries and there bacon ranch swiss burger!

    This may be a new one or it may not but roxys in oak bluff manitoba 7 min down mcgilvery to the primeter. i would love to see the burger clubs review on the buger there as i am a fan.

      A few people have recommended Roxy’s - I was even sent a menu. I’m not sure how the logistics of reviewing out-of-town burgers would work, but I want to try Roxy’s!

    You should definitely head to Winston's Cafe @ 525 St. Mary's Rd in the Riverside Inn. This little hidden cafe has the best burgers around! They have a choice of signature burger that has bacon, mozza and other toppings. They, also, have chili burgers and bacon and cheese. Our whole family doesn't mind the hour long drive to get there just to taste their delicious burgers and homemade fries! Hope you get a chance to try these delicious non greasy big sized burgers :)

    Eat Fork Spoon pizza & more has some of the best tasting burgers in WPG for sure look for then on face book our urban spoon.
